I wanted to make you something from scratch—and actually finish it. ❤️
Somewhere along the way, what started as just an idea became something much more special. I started remembering songs, places, movies, different versions of us… and realized just how much of our life has a soundtrack.
So this one is for you.

HOW WE BECAME US
Two missionaries. Two years of letters.
1998 — we finally reunited.
Los Angeles. Our first kiss. Rings. Marriage. Uruguay.
Then came new countries, new homes, four kids and now 2 more— all in only 28 years of life together.
Different songs. One soundtrack. Ours.

Part of your childhood soundtrack, long before there was an us.
2. Wind of Change — Scorpions
The first song you learned to play on guitar when you were about 11.
3. Under the Bridge — Red Hot Chili Peppers
Your favorite song, and one that will always make me think of teenage you.
4. Unbelievable — EMF
My turn. My first concert at the Hollywood Palladium and a little piece of who I was before you.
5. I Will Always Love You — Whitney Houston
The Bodyguard, 17-year-old me, and yes… that very serious talent-show lip-sync performance. 😂
6. Bendita Tu Luz — Maná
One of those songs that somehow became ours and stayed ours.
7. Wonderwall — Oasis
This one always makes me think of young you—and the version of you I was getting to know.
8. I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing — Aerosmith
Armageddon, summer 1998, Los Angeles… and the moment “you and me” started becoming us.
9. More Than Words — Extreme
One of those songs that simply belongs somewhere in our story.
10. Carla — LS Jack
Uruguay, Brazilian music everywhere, and those early years when we were figuring out married life together.
11. Iris — Goo Goo Dolls
City of Angels, the connection to Seth’s name, and now a song I’ve heard you play on guitar so many times.
12. Don’t Look Back in Anger — Oasis
We chose this one together, and somehow it just sounds like younger us looking back from here.
13. La Llorona — Ángela Aguilar
Mexico. Another country, another chapter, another version of our family.
14. Castle of Glass — Linkin Park
Seth. His song, his place in our soundtrack.
15. No Llora — El Cuarteto de Nos
Hannah. Her song—and another piece of the family we created.
16. Aquí Estaré — Pedro Capó
Bibi. Her song, and her chapter in this crazy little family of ours.
17. Wake Me Up When September Ends — Green Day
Sofia. One of those moments when you realize, yep… this child definitely got your music taste.
18. Buddy Holly — Weezer
Also Sofia. Because apparently having your personality wasn’t enough—she had to raid your music collection too. 😂
19. Cielo de un Solo Color — No Te Va Gustar, Jorge Drexler, Hugo Fattoruso & Agarrate Catalina
And back to Uruguay. Where so much of our life together began. Number 19, for you, on the 19th. ❤️
